    GAVIN WILLIAMSON MP

Gavin was born in 1976 and was educated at state primary and secondary schools. He is married to Joanne who was a primary school teacher before they had children; they have two daughters Annabel and Grace.

Prior to entering Parliament Gavin was  much involved in manufacturing having turned around a struggling Staffordshire pottery. Until May 2010 Gavin was the Managing Director of an Architectural Design Practicewhich has been involved in the design of many schools, public sector and commercial buildings.

Gavin's Experience

Gavin was elected a County Councillor in 2001 during which time he has been involved in community matters, but he has also had a strong interest in education issues. He stood down in 2005 to contest the parliamentary seat of Blackpool North and Fleetwood in Lancashire. Since then he has been Deputy Chairman of Staffordshire Area Conservatives, Chairman of Stoke on Trent Conservative Association and Vice Chairman of Derbyshire Dales Conservative Association.

Gavin's involvement in the voluntary sector has been extensive with him having been a charitable trustee at his local Citizens Advice Bureau and a school governor.

Gavin is working to represent all of South Staffordshire. he is leading a number of local campaigns and is very happy to support constituents and organisations within South Staffordshire
